The Sharpie pens brand
Sharpie is a manufacture of high quality marker pens and highlighters for use in and around the home and office. The Sharpie pens brand has been around since 1964 and has become one of the leading brands of markers and pens within the office supplies industry. Sharpie also became the first pen style permanent marker. Since its initial launch the Sharpie range has grown and changed to meet the demands of its customers. Most recently a range of retractable Sharpie markers and a range of mini Sharpie pens that are half the normal size and could be clipped onto a keychain or lanyard have been added to the range. Removal of Sharpie ink
The ink used in the range of Sharpie markers is permanent after setting, although you may not be aware that it can simply be erased within the first few hours. This however is only on glossy (non-porous) surfaces like glass, mirrors and metal. Normally a wet warm cloth will be enough to remove the ink from a Sharpie marker from these surfaces; otherwise a solvent of some sort may be required. In some cases you can also remove the Sharpie pens ink by colouring over the surface with a drywipe marker. The residue can then simply be removed with a dry cloth.
