What is the material that these pigeon holes are made from? Is it rust proof and resistant to chemicals? Thanks

Hi,
I can confirm these are made from a durable plastic coated wire but they are not rust proof or resistant to chemicals I'm afraid.

Is it possible to obtain extra shelving - to double the number of 'pigeon holes' in this unit?
