Why install acoustic panels, tiles or baffles?
In a room with glass, hard floors and bare walls, sound reflects repeatedly. Acoustic treatment absorbs some of that reflected sound, helping reduce reverberation and making the room more comfortable to use.
Hear people more clearly
Less lingering sound can help speech feel clearer in meeting rooms, reception areas and training spaces. It is especially useful where several conversations compete in the same room.
Make shared workspaces more comfortable
Reduce the build-up of reflected sound around busy teams. Combine room treatment with thoughtful desk layouts, quieter work areas and sensible noise management.
Soften an echoey meeting room
Wall and ceiling treatment can reduce the room reflections picked up during calls. Positioning, room coverage and the microphone setup all contribute to the result.
Turn practical treatment into a design feature
Use a patterned feature wall, a group of geometric tiles or sculptural ceiling baffles to bring colour and character into your space while adding sound absorption.
| Your space or priority | A useful starting point | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Meeting rooms and hybrid calls | Wall panels, tiles and ceiling baffles | Treat room reflections; keep screens, cameras and lighting clear. |
| Open-plan offices and shared desks | Room treatment plus desk or floor screens | Combine sound absorption with practical zoning; screens do not create confidential rooms. |
| Reception, breakout and dining areas | Decorative panels and overhead baffles | Balance the visual scheme, room acoustics, circulation and cleaning requirements. |
| Training and learning spaces | Wall and ceiling treatment | Prioritise speech clarity and ask about a formal acoustic assessment where targets apply. |
| Limited wall or floor space | Ceiling baffles or desk-mounted screens | Check ceiling structure, services and headroom, or desk compatibility. |
Decorative room treatment
Sch! acoustic wall panels & hanging panels
Choose wall-mounted treatment for a feature wall, or hanging panels to introduce suspended visual separation. Both use decorative PET felt designs; the right mounting choice depends on the room and the effect you want to create.
Wall-mounted acoustic panels
Add an absorbing surface to bare walls while making the room feel more finished. Plan the layout around the areas where people meet, talk and work.
Shop Sch! acoustic wall optionsHanging acoustic panels
Create a suspended feature or help define areas without a solid partition. Cut-out designs retain an open feel; they are not a substitute for a sound-insulating wall.
Shop Sch! acoustic hanging optionsExplore all 12 designs. Ten single-panel patterns are joined by Pine and Wildflower three-panel designs. The images show example colours; browse the range for mounting and colour choices.
| Design group | Listed dimensions | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| 10 single-panel designs | 1210mm wide × 2420mm high × 12mm thick | Wall-mounted or hanging options; 10 colours |
| Pine / Wildflower | 2810mm wide × 2420mm high × 12mm thick, as listed for the three-panel arrangement | Wall-mounted or hanging options; 10 colours |
Check the product drawing and required spacing before planning a three-panel layout. The overall listed width is not the width of each individual panel.
Build your own visual pattern
Sch! acoustic wall tiles
A flexible way to add colour, texture and sound absorption to a wall. Use one shape for a simple repeated pattern, or plan a combination of shapes and colours for a more distinctive feature.
Five shapes. Two edge styles.
Choose Circle, Diamond, Hexagon, Square or Triangle tiles, with bevelled-edge and square-edge options. Tiles are sold in sets of four and use 12mm PET felt.
Compare the chosen shape's dimensions before working out your layout and pack quantity. Allow for any planned spacing between tiles.
Start with the wall, then plan the pattern
A small decorative group creates a visual feature; a room with significant echo may need more treatment spread across suitable surfaces. Choose the design and the required acoustic coverage together.

A separate solution for desks and zoning
Sch! acoustic desk screens & floor-standing screens
Screens introduce sound-absorbing surfaces close to working areas while providing visual separation. Use them as part of a wider room plan where needed, rather than expecting one screen to remove noise from an entire office.
Desktop acoustic screens
Choose Rectangle, Oblong or Wave screens for the back of a desk, plus Wave side screens for the desk edge. Coordinate your screen colour with Sch! wall or ceiling products.
RectangleA clean, straight-edged profile.
OblongA rounded alternative for desk layouts.
WaveA shaped upper edge.
Wave side screenOptions for the side of the desk.Desktop sizes: Rectangle, Oblong and Wave models are 400mm high, with widths of 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600 or 1800mm. Wave side screens are 600 or 800mm wide × 400mm high. All use 12mm PET felt, with 10 colour choices.
Before ordering, check the desk edge, desktop thickness and fixing requirements. For height adjustable desks, consider the full movement range, cables and nearby furniture.
Floor-standing acoustic screens
Define work areas, create visual separation or introduce an absorbing surface where wall mounting is unsuitable. Choose Block, Full or Petal designs.
Floor screen sizes: 1200mm wide, with heights of 1200, 1400, 1600 or 1800mm. The listed overall depth is 550mm, including the base footprint, with 24mm panel thickness.
Our listed floor-standing range includes Raven Black and Graphite Charcoal. Colour availability differs from the 10-colour panel and desktop range; check current product options or ask about other finishes.

Materials and performance
What are Sch! acoustic products made from?
Sch! products use PET felt. Dynamic describes the felt as made using 100% recycled materials, and the range is designed, developed and manufactured at its Northampton site.
Sound-absorbing felt
Published product specifications list NRC 0.85. NRC is a laboratory sound-absorption rating averaged across specified test frequencies; it is not a promise that your room will be 85% quieter.
Shape, coverage, positioning, mounting and the room itself affect results. Ask for the relevant test information and recommended installation configuration if performance targets form part of your specification.
Know which specification applies
Wall panels, tiles, ceiling baffles and desktop screens use 12mm felt. Floor-standing screens have a listed panel thickness of 24mm.
Dynamic lists a reaction-to-fire classification of B-s1,d0 to BS EN 13501-1:2018. Request the applicable documentation for your chosen product and installation; a fire classification is separate from a sound-absorption rating.
Choose recycled-material products as part of your specification, while considering durability, suitability and eventual disposal. Recycled content does not mean every local recycling collection will accept a finished acoustic panel.
Buy the right amount
How many acoustic panels or baffles do I need?
There is no reliable one-size-fits-all panel count. A glass meeting room, a carpeted office and a large dining space can need very different amounts of treatment, even with a similar floor area.
Start with the noise problem
Is the issue echo, overlapping conversations, call quality or sound passing between rooms? Tell us what you want to improve and where it is most noticeable.
Choose surfaces and positions
Room volume, hard surfaces, furniture and occupancy all matter. Spread suitable treatment where it helps the room, rather than choosing a panel count from looks alone.
Confirm products and installation
Check dimensions, access, fixing surfaces, services, colour and budget. Where a measurable acoustic target is essential, discuss whether a formal acoustic assessment is needed.

Answers before you order
Sch! acoustic products: frequently asked questions
Do acoustic panels reduce office noise?
They can reduce reflected sound and reverberation within an office. This can make the space feel less echoey and conversations easier to follow. The result depends on the room, the amount of treatment and its placement; acoustic panels do not remove the original noise source.
Will Sch! panels soundproof a meeting room?
No. They are sound-absorbing products for managing sound within a room. Confidential conversations or noise transfer through walls, doors and ceilings require sound-insulation measures and a suitable assessment.
Should I choose wall panels, tiles or ceiling baffles?
Start with the available surfaces and the room problem. Wall panels create larger decorative features; tiles let you build a modular pattern; ceiling baffles use overhead space. A combination may be suitable where one surface cannot provide enough treatment.
What is the difference between hanging panels and ceiling baffles?
Hanging panels are suspended decorative panels that can help define areas visually. Ceiling baffles are three-dimensional overhead products in Shade or Hatch styles. Both add absorbing surfaces, but their forms, footprints and installation requirements differ.
Can I use acoustic screens on their own?
Screens can add local sound absorption and visual separation around desks or work areas. In a very reverberant room, they may need to be combined with wall or ceiling treatment. Floor and desk screens do not provide the privacy of an enclosed, sound-insulated room.
Can AOS install Sch! acoustic products?
Yes. AOS offers supply and professional installation. Send us room measurements or a plan, photographs, the site postcode and details of the products you are considering. We will discuss scope, access, fixing requirements and delivery arrangements before quoting.
Can I fit the products myself?
Some products are supplied for assembly and installation, but the appropriate method depends on the product and surface. Check the manufacturer's instructions, suitable fixings and any components required before ordering. Suspended products need suitable structural support; ask AOS for installation if you would prefer the fitting to be arranged.
How much do Sch! acoustic panels cost?
Prices depend on the product type, design, dimensions, quantity and any installation work. Open the relevant product group above for current product pricing. For a room or multi-area project, request a combined supply and installation quotation.
What does NRC 0.85 mean?
NRC is a sound-absorption rating from laboratory testing across specified frequencies. It helps describe absorption performance, but is not a percentage reduction in office noise. Ask for the relevant test setup and product documentation when comparing options or specifying a target.
Are Sch! acoustic products made from recycled materials?
Dynamic describes the PET felt as made using 100% recycled materials. Confirm any project-specific certification requirements with AOS before specifying. End-of-life collection and recycling arrangements should be checked separately.
