Cardboard Storage Boxes

Choose a cardboard archive box around the items going inside it. Loose A4 paper, foolscap folders, ring binders and filled lever arch files occupy different amounts of space. A box that accepts A4 sheets is not automatically large enough for every A4 binder.

Measure the complete folder or file, including its cover and spine. Allow enough clearance to remove items without bending the edges or forcing the lid closed. Where several smaller files need to stay together, compatible transfer files can keep document groups separate inside an archive box.

Store cardboard archive boxes indoors in a dry, suitable location. A lid helps cover the contents, but ordinary cardboard storage boxes should not be treated as waterproof containers.
